More on Hal and Lois Lane with a Gun

Don’t get me wrong, I think Sarah Carter is a great actress, and as I have said many times, Maggie has AWESOME potential as a character.

However, Maggie’s entire purpose seems to be either flirting with Hal, or giving Hal canned advice about Ben. Correction: canned advice about how Hal shouldn’t keep whining about Ben. She showed great depth in the first season, and it is completely wasted as Hal’s sounding board.

  1. Once again, we agree. Amazing! I never agree with anyone. Anyway, I like Sarah Carter, but Maggie is a little unbelieveable, like a female character written by a drooling fanboy: improbably long, sexy hair in the apocalypse (how often do any of them get to wash their hair, like once a week at most?), weapons expert (gun and crossbow), and playing I love you, I love you not with a 17-year-old boy. Hm.

The whole Hal/Maggie thing falls pretty flat for me, anyway, but not quite as flat as Tom/Anne. Both lost their spouses only weeks before sniffing around each other. Yeah. I just don;t think anyone would have time to play games of emotional footsie during a day-to-day struggle to survive.
